What would you do if let loose on the interior design of some of Ireland's major companies and retail outlets? Hugh Wallace, director and founder Douglas Wallace Architects and Designers has designed interiors for many high profile companies including Brown Thomas, Habitat and the glamorous G hotel in Galway.
Susan describes her concept to Hugh Wallace for a salon, using an egg as her example.

He gave three candidates with no experience the opportunity to meet some of their major clients and to come up with designs to impress them.

Their first project was Peter Marks hair salon and to get inspiration the candidates traveled to London to visit some cutting edge salons. The world of design is highly competitive and our candidates were no different as they worked on their designs in their bid to be kept on for the second week.
The second week's task was even more of a challenge as the two remaining contenders are sent to Galway to come up with a concept and design for a huge site under the new EYE Cinema, a tough call even for a designer with years of experience! As the competition intensifies the candidates show their very different skills. They worked round the clock as they vied for their dream jobs. Who had he best ideas? Who created the most stylish designs? Who did the bosses decide to keep? Tune in to find out.
