The extremely popular host of RTE Radio 1's flagship afternoon show, Liveline, Joe Duffy joins Miriam with his Funny Friday gang to give us their views on the week that was. The Funny Fridays gang consists of Clint Velour, Brush Shiels, Doc Savage and Uncle Bob Carley.

Coming to our screens next month, August, is RTE's new reality television show called 'Lord of the Rings'. In a nutshell this is celebrity boxing - 10 celebrities battle it out in the ring to raise money for their chosen charities. Here to tell Miriam more about this are the show's two presenters Lucy Kennedy and boxing legend, Barry McGuigan and three of the 10 contestants Dragon's Den Sean Gallagher, Comedian Alan Shortt of Bull Island fame and Former Dublin footballer, Jack Sheedy.

50 Years of the Rose of Tralee

The Rose of Tralee is celebrating 50 years this year and it's still as popular as ever - audiences of up to a million tune in every year to see what lovely lady will be chosen to wear the famous tiara. Joining Miriam on the sofas to mark this special milestone is Rose of Tralee presenter Ray Darcy, one of the judges Daithi O'Se, the first ever Rose Alice O'Sullivan, Silver Jubilee Rose Brenda Hyland and the current rose of Tralee Aoife Kelly.

Three previous Roses of Tralee sing the show out with that old favourite 'The Rose of Tralee' - you may remember them from Charity You're a Star two years ago - they are Roisin Egeton, Orla Tobin and Orla O'Shea.
