Meet The Neighbours
Friday 15th May, 7.30pm
Karina and Julia Pillipino are stepsisters from Latvia awaiting their Leaving Cert results and preparing for their debs. Their younger brother Nikita has been diagnosed with a rare illness whereby his body cannot release toxins and waste from his system. They live in hope that a cure can be found before his condition deteriorates further.
Tavonga Chiriseri is a 10-year-old from Zimbabwe. He is already a talented musician, picking up tunes by ear off the radio and mastering them on his small casio keyboard. His mother Pamela is saving to buy him a piano in the hope that he might earn a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music.
Kieran O Neill runs the Bracken Boxing Club in Balbriggan and describes himself as a 'social worker in a tracksuit'. He himself was an 'outsider' - moving from Darndale in the 1980s. Today, one of his brightest proteges is Ger Whitehouse, a 13-year-old settled traveller who is about to defend his title at the Irish Nationals.
