Bank Voles are small mammals that have a distinctive flat looking face and nose. They can weigh up to 40g and reach a maximum length of around 12 cm. They live roughly up to 18 months and other than hedgerows, can be found in grasslands and woodlands.
Bank voles feed on leaves, buds, fruit and sometimes insects. They often climb among bushes while foraging for food, and nest in around the roots of the trees and bushes, as well as underground.
