He has sold more than 11 million albums worldwide which is not bad for a man who used to sing in hotel lounges and smoky bars. His new album "Crazy Love" is already proving to be a great success and from it he sang "Haven't Met You Yet".
He is one of this country's greatest Hollywood actors. He originally hails from Drimnagh in Dublin and after appearing in such iconic TV programmes as The Riordans and Bracken he went on to star in major blockbusters such as Excalibur, Miller's Crossing, and the Usual Suspects. His career has gone strength to strength and earlier this year his portrayal as a psychoanalyst in the television series "In Treatment" even earned him a Golden Globe award.
Often referred to as the Voice of Ireland he has enjoyed considerable success as both a recording artist and a live performer. Indeed his "Voice of Hope" album was the biggest selling album in 2005. His new album is a collection of Christmas classics and other seasonal tracks. It's called 'Song For A Winters Night' and from it he sang "Christmas 1915".
For many years Dwight Yorke was a top flight Premiership football player with Manchester United, playing alongside such luminaries as Eric Cantona, David Beckham and our own Roy Keane. Never far from the tabloid headlines, he famously had a tempestuous relationship with the model Katie Price which resulted in the birth of his son Harvey.
She is one of the greatest athletes this country has ever produced. She is an Olympic silver medallist and world champion runner originally from Cobh in Co.Cork but she has now settled in Australia where she's raising her two children and where she holds dual Irish and Australian citizenship.
