Gabriel Byrne

Gabriel Byrne one of our finest actors with more than 35 movies under his belt joined Pat to speak of his much lauded career and his interest in humanitarian matters. He told Pat of his recent delight at bagging a Golden Globe for his performance as conflicted psychotherapist, Dr Paul Weston in HBO series, In Treatment. He spoke of his involvement with The Irish Hospice Foundation and how he believes "to die with dignity is a right, not a privilege."  He also spoke passionately of his shock and devastation at the release of the Ryan abuse report and of his own personal abuse at the hands of the Christian brothers.
