Broadcaster Pat Kenny announces his resignation as host of The Late Late Show, Brian O'Driscoll and coach Declan Kidney discuss their Grand Slam triumph and former EastEnders actress Letitia Dean looks back at some memorable moments in her career, particularly on Strictly Come Dancing.

Pat Kenny announces he is to leave The Late Late Show

After 10 years as presenter of The Late Late Show, Pat Kenny announced on 27 March 2009 that he will be leaving The Late Late Show to pursue other projects.

The Corrigan Brothers

Last time they joined us they sang about President Obama - tonight they pay tribute to our victorious Irish Rugby Team. The boys latest song is called 'Here's To The Grand Slam and Ronan O'Gara'.

Rugby

Pat was joined by our national heroes Grand Slam winning rugby stars Brian O'Driscoll, Paul O'Connell, Rory Best and coach Declan Kidney. Much to the delight of the audience the lads brought the coveted silverware Grand Slam trophy & Triple Crown with them. They gave us some insight in to what was going through their heads as they prepared for the monumental clash with Wales on Saturday & described how they felt when reality dawned & they realised that victory was theirs.

Letitia Dean

Former EastEnder Letitia Dean talks to Pat about the effect being in the soap had on her life, being at her fittest at 41 and her current stint in the stage version of High School Musical in Dublin.

Minister Eamon Ryan

The Minister for Communications, Energy & Natural Resources joined Pat to share a little of personal life & background. He spoke about his experiences of being on the dole in the 80's and how he started a business called Cycle Safaris - a business which continues to do well today. He also outlined why he felt now more than ever it was important to stick to green proposals and policy. He returned later in the show & featured alongside journalist Aileen O'Toole to talk about the IDEAS CAMPAIGN.

Keywest Performance

Brand new music from a band that are starting to make waves locally and internationally. They've already had two hit singles and their third 'Miss You Most' is their most commercial to date. The boys dropped in to perform it before heading off to play some gigs around the country.

Ideas Campaign

Aileen O'Toole spoke to Pat about The Ideas Campaign which aims to galvanise the country into submitting and acting upon ideas aimed at promoting national recovery. We heard from some of the people who have already submitted their plans in the audience and later Minister Eamonn Ryan gave his reaction to them.

AIB Photo Awards

For 31 years the AIB Press Photographers Association of Ireland awards have acknowledged Ireland's best press photographers. Pat looked a sample of the 120 images currently touring the country and spoke with the AIB Photojournalist of the Year 2008, Steve Humphries.

Red Hurley Performance

A legend of the Irish music scene Red is yet again finding new strands to his career. His forthcoming album features inspirational songs and the song he chose for tonight, "How Great Thou Art" is already being championed by Sir Terry Wogan.

Comedian Alan Shortt and TD Mary O'Rourke, NUI Senator Ronan Mullen, Newspaper editor Noreen Hegarty discuss satire.
