Celebrity jungle survivor Ester Rantzen talks about her reality TV experience while former BBC jounrnalist Ed Mitchell discusses the battle with alcoholism that destroyed his glittering career. Comedienne Deirdre O Kane fills us in on her new life in London.

RESCUE DOGS:

These three puppies are called Roger, Charlie and Maggie. They were born in the ISPCA shelter in Longford just three months ago. They were homeless but have just been signed up to new homes in the midlands. Pedigree has launched the Pedigree Adoption Drive seeking to raise awareness of homeless dogs and encourage Irish dog lovers to adopt a dog from their local shelter or welfare organisation. RAY LA MONTAGNE PERFORMANCE:

Hailing from Maine Ray LaMontagne is a singer songwriter who first came to prominence in 2004 with his hit single Trouble. His new album is called Gossip In The Grain and from that he performs the current hit 'You Are The Best Thing'.

DEIRDRE O'KANE:

Now based in London Deirdre O'Kane flew in to talk about becoming a mother for the second time with the birth of baby Daniel 4 months ago. She spoke about the struggle to fit into a dress for the upcoming IFTA ceremony where she is nominated for the best actress award for a third time. And told Pat that her stand-up comedy has been parked for now & her aim is to focus on her acting career.

IAN & EILEEN PAISLEY:

In an historic Late Late Show interview, Preacher, politician and giant of the public arena the Reverend Ian Paisley and his wife Lady Eileen Paisley joined Pat for a unique insight, onto the private family life of one of the most controversial men of our times.

PETER WARD:

Pat spoke to food guru Peter Ward who argued that its time to move away from the multinational supermarkets, go back to basics and rethink our attitudes to food. He says doing so is good for the economy, local communities and our health.

JEM:

Although you may not instantly recognise her name you will probably be familiar her music as it has been used in many movies and TV series. The song she performs for us is the current hit 'It's Amazing'.

ESTHER RANTZEN:

Esther Rantzen is one of the most familiar faces on British television. Just back from roughing it in the jungle, her refreshing philosophy on life at the age of 68 is "if not now, when?" it has been 8 years since her beloved husband passed away and although his death shattered her, she talks to Pat about how she has learned how to embrace the life she still has and take on as many adventures as she can.

MARY BLACK & LIAM O MAONLAI:

Two of Ireland best loved singers come together for a special duet to announce some special concerts at Vicar Street next week. The concerts are to raise funds for the children affected by the conflict in the Gaza Strip. Mary & Liam chose a beautiful Bob Dylan song called 'To Make You Feel My Love'.

ED MITCHELL

At the height of his career as a successful journalist he was interviewing the likes of Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair. He commanded a huge salary, travelled the world and had a beautiful wife and two children. so how did he end up a homeless alcoholic sleeping on a street bench.Former BBC, ITN and Channel 4 journalist Ed Mitchell tells his story.
