Late Late Show Player

Pat Kenny presents the popular talk show featuring high-profile guests and the very best in all-round entertainment

Jason Smyth, Michael McKillop (gold medallists) & Liam Harbison (performance director)

With 3 gold medals , a silver and a bronze - team Ireland arrived home triumphantly this evening from the Beijing Paralympic Games. Setting three world records in the process the achievements of our athletes cannot be underestimated. Literally stepping off the plane from Beijing we welcomed our gold medallists, Jason Smyth and Michael McKillop as well as performance director Liam Harbison. Crowned the 'Usain Bolt' of the Paralympic Games in Beijing Jason won Olympic gold in the 100 and 200 metres in world record times in front of a packed Birds Nest stadium of 91,000. people. Michael McKillop won gold and broke the world record over 800m which is remarkable when you consider Sonia O'Sullivan never rann 800m in under 2 mins.

The Script

Quite literally the hottest property in the music world right now, and they're Irish! Danny, Mark and Glen dropped in to perform the massive hit single 'The Man Who Cant Be moved'.

Erin Brockovich

Erin Brockovich dropped by to talk about what it is like to have one of the most famous names in the world after Hollywood decided to depict her life in film. She also spoke about the job which led to the movie and how she and her family have adapted to life post Hollywood blockbuster. She recounted her first experience of Julia Roberts and told of ongoing cases and concerns such as the current environmental situation at one of the most prestigious high schools in the world none other than Beverly Hills High.

Sean Keane

An old friend of the Late Late Show, Sean Keane has just recorded a new album and DVD called 'the Irish Scattering'. It's a collection of songs and stories about the Irish communities throughout the world. Sean and his band perform a medley of songs from the collection.

Adele King

Actress and comidienne Adele King (aka Twink) spoke about her recent weight loss - she has lost three and a half stone since Christmas - and about how she has changed her life around for the better. To show just how great she feels and looks Adele later joined four models on the catwalk to model lingerie.

Personal finance

After a week of meltdown in the worlds banking system, Pat was joined by Senator Shane Ross and Eddie Hobbs who talked about the safety of our money and the prospects for the economy. They also had some advice for the government on where they should spend and what they should cut in the forthcoming budget.

Melody Gardot

Having being left disable after a car crash when she was 19 Melody Gardot really triumphed in the face of adversity. While recuperating in hospital she was encouraged in her musical endeavours by a doctor and made her first recording from her bedside.
Three years on her new album Worrisome Heart has just been released and from it she performs the track "Goodnight"

John Creedon

John Creedon was crowned King of Failte Towers - RTÉ's reality show during the summer. He is otherwise known as Mr. Cork and if you didn't know he was also Ireland's first ever agony aunt known as Terence the Hairdresser. He joined Pat Kenny on Friday night to talk about the reason he went into Failte Towers and why he believes Cork is the real capital.

Fashion Show

A mini Late Late fashion show showing the most beautiful designer dresses this Autumn followed by a showcasing of the most luxurious and sophisticated lingerie with a very special guest appearance by Adele King.
