It was the showbiz event of the week. After 7 years apart, Ireland's original Boy Band got back together - almost 14 years to the day after their first ever appearance on the Late Late Show.
In the early days of her career, it looked like Katie Price might be just another glamour model who would fade from the public eye after a few years in the limelight. Instead, she has released two volumes of autobiography, two novels, a series of children's books, a fitness DVD, an underwear collection, a calendar, a jewellery line, a hair-care range and a new perfume. Not only that, but her last novel outsold the combined sales of all six of this years Man-Booker Prize shortlist. At just 29, Katie Price - or is it Jordan? - is one of the richest women in the UK. She joined Pat in studio to tell him how she did it.
Padraig Harrington has a dream job: he travels the globe, has fame and fortune and does it simply by playing great golf. In July he brought us all to the edge of our seats when he won the Open Championship, his first major. And yet, he told Pat, he's only just beginning..
Late Late and audience favourite Shayne Ward's new album 'Breathless' is out today, an album he describes himself as 'music for dancing and drinking'. He came into studio to perform the title track from the album. Shayne will appear as a special guest of Westlife in Croke Park on June 1st 2008.
Addicted to pretty much everything at one stage or another, television dandy and ladies' man Russell Brand is somewhat of a miracle man. Despite ignoring many lifelines and throwing away countless career opportunities - such as the time he introduced Kylie to his drug dealer live on MTV, dressed as Osama Bin Laden.the week after 9/11 - he finally managed to conquer his demons and is now one of the biggest TV stars in the UK. He came onto the show to reflect on his highly unconventional rise to fame, and flirted outrageously with, well, pretty much everyone, really.
Former Python Michael Palin has entertained audiences for years with his wry and insightful explorations of the more obscure aspects of life on this planet. His latest adventure took him to Eastern Europe where he examined the impact of the fall of the Iron Curtain. He spoke to Pat about belly dancing, olive-oil wrestling and being covered in leeches.
While many of his contemporaries have faded in to the background, Red Hurley continues to prosper and develop a new audience. He's currently recording a new album and TV special for PBS in the States, both for release next year. Red performed his own unique take on the Keith Urban song, "Somebody Like You."
Tommy Tiernan has spent two, hugely successful, years bringing his unique, and very Irish, take on life to audiences the length and breadth of the US and Canada. He came into the Late Late, fresh from the stage in Vicar Street, and caused the usual hilarity and uproar. For further information on Tommy's nationwide tour dates, see www.tommytiernan.com
