Show 7 - The Robbins Family
The Robbins family returned to live in Ireland last October following a few years in the UK and Denmark. They previously lived in the house behind and always dreamed of living in their current home. They purchased the house six years ago but due to work commitments they moved abroad and the house was rented.
Hence the garden was in need of some creative direction. The majority of the garden lies to the side of the house and they feel that this area lacks privacy as it is overlooked by other houses.

The Family's Brief:
. An area that they can relax in, with some degree of privacy.
. A creative area that is interesting and challenging to they eye.
. Somewhere for the children to enjoy.

Diarmuids initial reaction:
Diarmuid usually states "I have no interest whatsoever in front gardens - cars are parked in them - that's it" But he was challenged by the garden, its shape, its potential and immediately he envisaged great things for "this unique garden".
Given Diarmuid's design the family lost their parking space in the front garden but gained a garden that is magical, looks like it has always been there. This is primarily due to a host of mature plants - including mature Tilia lime trees which Diarmuid imported for Italy.
