For this you need three scaffold boards (or any boards 6 to 8inches wide and ¼ to 1 inch thick) Cut one scaffold board into four equal lengths, these are the shelves). Use the two other scaffold boards for the sides. As it is like a ladder it will just lean against a vertical surface. Cut an angle at the end of one of the boards. An easy way to do this is to mark 45 and 90 degree lines and then divide the two, giving an angle of 67.5, this allows the side to sit evenly on the ground. Now measure about 6 feet and cut the same angle, you now have one side. Lay this on the remaining scaffold plank, mark both angles and cut, you now have two sides. Next get some 2 x 1, or similar and cut 8 lengths 6 or seven inches long, these will support your shelves. Get your sides and place them up against a surface. Screw a 2 x 1 support to each side about 6 or 8 inches from the bottom, use a spirit to keep them level. Now get a shelf, place between the sides on the 2 x 1 supports and screw through the sides into the shelf, repeat this for the other shelves, having one close to the top. Now you have a ladder planter for all your potted plants or seed trays.
