FLORIDA:
PJ AND SANDRA
So
far PJ and Sandra's search in has been in the more affordable
areas north of Fort Myers, but nothing has really excited
them. This week they're pushing the budget a little and
heading south to view two properties in a development called
Coconut Shores, located in Bonita Springs halfway between
Fort Myers and Naples.
Naples
is town with a lot more energy than Fort Myers, but with
house prices to match. Right besdie a beautiful beach, and
with numerous bars and restaurants, it feels younger than
Fort Myers and might be more appealing to PJ and Sandra,
but budget will be an issue. Their first visit at Coconut
Shores is to the model villa.
In
Florida, a model is similar to our showhouses at home, except
that in most cases, it's nothing like the finished property
that you're viewing. Here, they've put the very best - or
most expensive - of everything into the house. The pool
alone costs $30,000. The result is beautiful, irresistible
and, in this case, an extra $100,000.
The next property they look at is a Coach House and the
basic asking price is only slightly outside their budget.
They look at a furnished and unfurnished version of the
same place. At the end of the day it seems that Fort Myers
is not the right location for PJ and Sandra.
And
perhaps they need to look in other parts of Florida to find
something they'll be happy with.
