FLORIDA:
PJ AND SANDRA
PJ
and Sandra's search for a holiday home continues in Fort
Myers on Florida's west coast. Last
week's search didn't start that well, but things were looking
a bit more promising after their second viewing.
Despite
being the famous winter holiday resort of Thomas Edison
and Henry Ford and being the home of Dr Franklin Miles,
inventor of Alka Seltzer, Fort Myers just isn't an exciting
town.
But one thing Fort Myers and Florida does boast is sunshine
and lots of it, with temperatures throughout the winter
months in the high twenties.
PJ and Sandra's first viewing is a 2 bedroom condo at the
marvellously named, Moonraker Court. Once again, the real
estate agent's name is Devaney, Don Devaney. At just over
$100,000 with its own docking area, this condo is well under
PJ and Sandra's budget of €150,000.
Another
great way to see properties in Fort Myers is by boat, with
lots of property along the banks of the Caloosahatchee River
or overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. At PJ and Sandra¹s next
viewing, Don's wife and business partner, Bernie is showing
the property. The condo itself is certainly impressive though
it's almost identical to the last. The only reason it's
got a much higher asking price of $165,000 is that it comes
furnished and it's got a very large dock.
