PROGRAMME 7
SPAIN

Background

The Costa del Sol is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.
As well as the fantastic sunshine most of the year it has one of the highest numbers of world class golf courses.

Nerja is situated on the coast about 40 minutes east of Malaga.
It’s a popular tourist resort yet has managed to keep its Spanish character, with it’s beautiful old town. Although it’s a working Spanish town English is spoken.

Property Information

Marbella is the most exclusive and expensive area on the Costa Del Sol. The further east you go the cheaper it gets. Nerja is approximately 30% cheaper than Marbella and with that considered good value.

The minimum price in the area is €175,000 to €200.000 for a two bed apartment. 5 years ago it was about half that.

For 2005 the predictions were around 12% price increase on average in Spain.

For around €175.000, you’ll get a good little apartment, or a bigger property in need of refurbishment. For €1.5 mill you get a fabulous villa on a nice piece of land.
