BRITTANY
BRIAN
& MARIE FARRELL
Brian
and Marie moved to Ireland from Birmingham over two years
ago. Both born to first generation Irish parents, they had
always wanted to move back home for a better quality of
life. Marie's family come from Cavan and Brian's from Offaly,
they both holidayed there a lot growing up. They say they
chose Galway as a good in between spot for Offaly and Cavan.
They have 4 children, Molly 7yrs, Keavey 5 yrs and twins
Maisy and Loughlin 3yrs. Marie is a nurse although no longer
works as she is busy as a Mum and Brian is a landscape gardener.

They
are looking for a family home around Brittany, in an area
that is family orientated. Areas that they are interested
in include:- Caurel, Lac De Guerledan, , Mur de Bretagne.
These areas are in the centre of Brittany just north of
Lorient. They have friends with five kids who live in Moribhan
near the Lac. They have been to the area a only once. And
at that time they looked at eight properties. They liked
one but it was out of their budget. They are looking for
a typically French looking house, with stonework and old
beams. They would like a 2 bedroom house with a loft or
some other type of space for renovation. Brian renovated
their current house and is prepared to do some renovation
work over time. He says that the roof needs to be in good
repair. Ideally there would be a liveable area to begin
with. When they have found a place they would be driving
over to France from Rosslare to Roscoff. Marie and the kids
may get to spend longer there in the summer than Brian,
but he can follow by plane as there is a direct flight from
Galway to Lorient, which is nearby.
