Yvonne Farragher and Michael Hughes

From Terenure to Sicily. This Dublin couple wants to move to there permanently. Jim Smyth pitches in and tries to help them achieve their dream.

Yvonne Farragher and Michael Hughes live in Terenure. Yvonne is a primary school teacher and Michael, an estate agent in Lucan. Yvonne is originally from Mayo and Michael grew up in the UK but his parents are from Armagh and Laois.

Yvonne lived in Sicily for two years and speaks fluent Italian. Michael plays guitar and enjoys jamming with the locals. They both now have lots of friends in Sicily and plan to buy with a view to eventually living there, full-time.

This couple wants a house but they don't particularly like the traditional Sicilian styles as the kitchens are very pokey. They don't really want to do any renovations, so a new premises would be best. Yvonne and Michael would also like a sea view, so they're looking in the areas of Castellamare, Scopello and Fragenesi.

Yvonne and Michael tried to buy in Sicily earlier this year but the deal fell through when their deeds were deemed illegal, so they're hoping Jim Smyth can buffer them against any such obstacles, this time around.
