Episode 6

Sorcha Donohoe works for the Homeless section of Dublin City Council and has been looking for her first home since last July.

Originally from Dun Laoghaire she fell in love with a cottage in Bray, which was ideal because of its close location to her sister Carol Ann, however she was outbid and the search continues. Given the current price of property Carol Ann has kindly offered to help her sister get onto the property ladder.

Sorcha leads a busy life in Dublin, she loves photography, writing poetry, and is currently doing a course in garden design, so a garden is a must on her wish list. She also needs somewhere for her dog Autumn to stay so an apartment is out of the question.

She's seen lots of houses she likes but with a budget of €381,000 they are often out of reach. Our search for Sorcha's first home brings us around Dublin and Bray.
