Hailing from a wee village in Northern Ireland, 24 year old actress Annemarie Gaillard had only one pressing fear when she heard that she was going to LA. Was it the fear of failure? Of fluffing up that all-important audition? No, not quite - it was toes. Annemarie has a thundering phobia of toes - touching them, seeing them, being anywhere near them. But she overcame her fear to spend four long weeks living with ninety other toes in LA.
At the age of 17 Annemarie auditioned for the prestigious Chetham's School of Music, Manchester, a conservatoire for the young, musically gifted - to her delight she won a place to study there as a classical singer. After this, Annemarie auditioned and was one of the few chosen to train on the BA (Hons) Acting degree at drama college, Rose Bruford, London. She was subsequently cast in BBC One's 'Waking the Dead', playing murder victim Suzie Jenkins.
After graduating, Annemarie went on to play 'Cat' in the national tour and UK premiere of Hugh Leonard's 'Love in the Title', a tour which again saw Annemarie receive top reviews. Recently she has featured in the 'Snack in the Mouth' commercials and played the lead in the musical 'Divorce Me Darling' at the Union Theatre, London. Next up, a stint on CBeebies as the foil for puppets Nuzzle and Scratch.
