Programme 7: Semi-Final
Tuesday 7 April 2009
The semi final has arrived, the penultimate round.
The six remaining chefs, Niamh Switzer, Trevor Thornton, Patricia George, Peter Wyse, Juyong Kim and Dermot McDonnell, can almost touch the glory now. They have all been though the ringer of the HEAT restaurant and come out the right side.
Some, like Dermot, have made the most of their second chance. Others like Juyong and have looked really impressive in the heat of the kitchen.
The stakes have been raised considerably in the semi finals. Each of the chefs must design and execute a three course meal for a table of expert critics. They will be judged at a much higher standard.
Only the very best is acceptable at this stage...and there will be some surprises in store along the way!
At the end of the day, only two chefs will be left standing, and they will go through to the HEAT final, one step away from a prize of ¤10,000 and the title of HEAT champion.
