The Health Squad Guide to Health & Fitness
Start the new year with a good think about health! The Health Squad Guide to Health & Fitness will help.
Advice from health experts is difficult to filter these days. With big business attached to many health products and diets, we need an objective view of health problems and how to avoid them.
The Health Squad Guide to Health & Fitness brings together the talents of three experienced and qualified health experts to give wide range of advice from what to eat to how to increase energy levels, look and feel better. Their advice on RTE's Health Squad has proved invaluable to many who had given up on ever feeling well again and has resonated throughout Ireland for those with recurring minor problems to serious health issues.
Dietician Paula Mee, Holistic Therapist Karen Ward and fitness instructor Padraig Murphy have a unique approach to health. Theirs is not a hairshirt and penitential attitude, but one of practical, sound advice which, with only a modicum of determination, will help improve quality of life. The book doesn't preach, but gives the facts, plenty of do's and don'ts and is so easily presented, it is accessible to those who don't have a lot of time to read.
Health Squad is one of RTE's most successful home-produced lifestyle programmes and viewership has increased in each of its five years on air.
The book has been edited by Health/Food writer Roz Crowley and is published by Onstream Publications with the assistance of safefood.
Editor Roz Crowley says "It's good to see such dynamic, attractive and down to earth people giving health advice. Like the rest of us, they have to fit keeping fit and healthy into busy lifestyles. Not everyone has three hours a day to keep trim with a personal trainer. What we have done with this book is give a three-in-one approach to changing bad habits into good ones without completely having to cut out the pleasures in life."
The book is available in bookshops in paperback, full colour ¤16.99
