This week Hands On is on at the earlier time of 12.40pm on RTÉ One.

Cancer is a disease that will affect one in three Irish people, at some point in their life. This week Hands On talks to two Deaf people about their battles with breast and testicular cancer, and gives advice on how to stay healthy and how to check yourself for symptoms of the disease. We provide information on the cancer screening services available in Ireland, and bring you clips from the fantastic naked calendar brought out by the South East Deaf Women's Group in aid of Action Breast Cancer.

This week Hands On also takes a trip to the National Library of Ireland and the National Archives to show you how to research your family tree. The NLI and the Archives provide free access to a wide range of records, and we meet Cormac Leonard, an amateur genealogist, who has been helping Cathy Gallagher, a Deaf woman from Galway, to find her roots. Tune in to see what they uncover!

As always, Sarah Jane and Caroline are getting into mischief, this time on the set of Fair City where they have a cameo role in an upcoming episode! Our cameras were there to follow them around behind the scenes, so, if you've ever wondered what really happens on set, you don't want to miss this!
