Concluding the Brides of Franc series, episode six finds Ireland's best-known wedding planner back on one of his favourite stomping grounds: New York City. Franc is in his element in the Big Apple, where he has a Filofax full of industry contacts in the world of event planning, and is looking forward to the wedding of Patricia Hurley and her Long Island-based fiancé, Louis Sudano, who are planning a wedding reception in the true New Yorker's setting of Central Park.
This is Patricia and Lou's second-time-around and with teenage and grown-up family of their own, each of them has very real expectations of what kind of wedding they want and where they want it. Although they met in Dublin, where Patricia lived until recently, the wedding and ceremony will be in New York, the city that Patricia, a former model, has made her home with Lou, an Italian-American who runs a construction supplies company.
This Big Apple wedding will see our Fermoy-based planner with just days to organize what normally takes weeks-will the logistics of coordinating this "wow" wedding leave Franc feeling like he has bitten off more that he can chew?
