Brides of Franc
Brides of Franc: The Anniversaries RTÉ One

Sunday, 12th April 2009

Episode four of his new series sees Franc back on home turf-Cork. But this event is somewhat unfamiliar territory, as his clients, Hans and Aoibhinn, are looking for the fun of a child-friendly wedding on Fota Island that includes their five offspring and, at the other end of the spectrum, they are hoping that Franc can help stage a majestic ceremony in Cobh Cathedral.

Dubliner Aoibhinn McGee and Scottish-born Hans Erik Bonne have a touch of wanderlust and met in Berlin several years ago. Now living in Cobh with their young children, ranging in age from 3-to-8 -years-old, Hans is a part-time computer consultant and stay-at-home-dad while Aoibhinn heads up the marketing department of a Youghal-based hotel. Family is key to them and they've asked Franc to provide entertainment for the youngsters on the Big Day as well as bringing an element of Scotland to Cork for Hans and his side of the family.

But in the glorious surroundings of Fota, will Franc be able to create the wedding of Hans and Aoibhinn's dreams? How will he balance the needs of the children with those of the adults, making it memorable for all parties? And will Franc's suggestions for décor and Aoibhinn's accessories be lost in the cavernous grandeur of the cathedral?
