Episode 3 sees Ireland's best-loved event designer cross the Atlantic to organise his first Caribbean wedding for an Irish-Dominican Republic couple. But these are no ordinary nuptials: Franc will have to grapple with a new language and the vagaries of the hurricane season - not to mention another wedding planner.
The love story of Trevor Russell and Elba Vargas spans three countries. Trevor from Lusk, County Dublin, and Elba from the Dominican Republic met in New York City where they were both at university. Trevor was there on a soccer scholarship and when their son Aidan was born three years ago, they decided to move to north county Dublin. But Elba has always wanted an island wedding and with 30 of Trevor's family making the trip to the Dominican Republic for a November wedding, Franc was recruited to make this a special family event to remember.
But weather in the Dominican Republic can be notoriously fickle this time of the year: the Atlantic-Caribbean hurricane season runs from June to the end of November. With a storm on the horizon as preparations get under way, can Franc design a storm-proof event with his trademark "wow" elements? Will a scaled-down Team Franc be able to overcome their language difficulties and source everything they need on the island and how will Franc get on with Elba's wedding planner aunt, Alejandra, in the build up to the Big Day?
