The Ghazouani Family

The second episode of Families in Trouble features the Ghazouanis - a family who are struggling to cope with the behaviour of a boisterous five year old in the wake of a family bereavement.

Full-time mum Caroline is married to Moroccan Mustafa Ghazouani and they want help with their son Zak. Describing him as 'wild and troublesome', they say he throws tantrums, has a terrible temper and is unaffected by any kind of discipline.

Caroline and Mustafa's eldest son James Ali died (aged 8) over a year ago after contracting encephalitis - an illness which lasted almost three years. After the death, the family found it extremely difficult to cope and both parents felt that they were losing control of Zak.

In this episode of Families in Trouble, they call on Clinical Psychologist David Coleman to come in and help them with their hitting and discipline problem. But how much can they both deal with after such a traumatic couple of years?
