Turlough returned to Carrigstown in January 2011, a reformed character, hoping to atone for some of the damage he had caused to Bob and Renee.

Turlough didn't expect to fall in love, but he and Neasa Dillon recognised a soul mate in each other, almost from their first meeting. Tragically, their love was cut short a few short weeks later because of a freak accident. On 10th February, 2010, shortly after proposing to Neasa, Turlough fell and died when glass from a broken mirror pierced his neck.
