Troy was deeply affected by his parents' break-up when he was 6 years old. As an adult, he has come to terms with being gay, and has managed to build bridges with his father, Leo.
Troy made his first appearance in Carrigstown when he came to stay with his father and brother in September 2008. He left again in June 2009 to take up a job as DJ at a club in Benidorm.
