Lorcan didn't have the best start in life but things improved immensely when Malachy and Kay fostered and eventually adopted him.

While protecting his mother, Carol, Lorcan killed her husband Billy Meehan with a golf club and was convicted of manslaughter.

Later, Lorcan became involved in crime, and was a member of Sylvester Garrigan's gang. On 15th October 2006, Lorcan was shot by garda Rory Goff while trying to assassinate him. Tragically, Lorcan died as a result of the shooting, leaving Carol, Kay and his pregnant wife Ali devastated.
