SPOILER ALERT - don't read ahead if you don't want to know what's coming up on Fair City.
Suzanne's return from Australia has rekindled past feelings in Damien andhe has been keen to console Suzanne as she deals with the death of her mother.
Suzanne however has seemed reluctant to encourage him. Having used her time away to embrace counselling, Suzanne seems to have struggled to come to terms with her past behaviour.
Damien seems willing to move on and despite Wayne's concern has asked Suzanne to stay in Carrigstown so they can give it another go. To Damien's delight, Suzanne seems receptive to the idea but Wayne soon tempers Damien's enthusiasm.

DAMIEN
WAYNE
You're both older now.
DAMIEN
I've forgiven her for what happened, trouble
is she hasn't forgiven herself.
WAYNE
These things take time, you shouldn't rush
Suzanne.
DAMIEN
Don't really have that luxury.
WAYNE
Damien, is there a chance you're just a bit
lonely and this is convenient?
DAMIEN
I still have feelings for her.
WAYNE
Did she stay over?
DAMIEN
No.
WAYNE
I see.
DAMIEN
We're not rushing anything.
WAYNE
Except maybe getting back together.
A BEAT.
WAYNE
If this is what you want, you should go for it.
DAMIEN
TRYING TO CONVINCE HIMSELF
If I let her leave I might regret it. Always
wonder what if. You know?
WAYNE
One thing though. If you're so loved up then
why do you look so unhappy?
