Louie left in a blaze of disgrace after deciding to tell Carol of his affair with his ex-wife Ingrid at the altar of their wedding. It was a public humiliation for Carol as the adulterous secrets were laid bare in front of her closest friends.

Having kept a low profile afterwards, Carol decided to emerge this week with a brave face. This didn't last long though as her emotions bubbled close to the surface and eventually boiled over. Carol lashed out at friends and threw an impromptu party in McCoys, announcing that all the drinks were on Louie.

After recovering from this rather embarrassing episode, Carol has gathered herself to take her new life head on. There is a fresh spanner in the works however as a familiar face from her past has turned up with alarming news. Acting as solicitor for an unnamed client, Anthony Farrell has some startling news for Carol, and even more surprisingly for Orla?

ORLA
So, what we need is a plan of action.

CAROL
What can I do? Barricade myself and Jack
in?

ORLA
Me and Bob will join you.

CAROL
They won't physically evict us though, will they? They'll go the legal route.

ORLA
Which will take ages.

CAROL
And cost loads of money.

FARRELL ARRIVES, LOOKING TO TALK
TO CAROL. AND ORLA.

FARRELL
Ladies, Perfect timing.

CAROL
Go to hell, You think you're such a big man. Throwing a baby out of his home.

FARRELL
That part is unfortunate. But I'm only doing
my job.

CAROL
You can tell Louie from me that I'm going nowhere. Me and Jack have rights.

FARRELL
You seem agitated so I won't delay you. I have instructions from my client. For both of you.

ORLA
Hardly for me.

FARRELL
Actually, yes. Ms Kirwan, isn't it?

CAROL
You know who she is. This has nothing to do with her.

FARRELL
Wrong again, Carol. This has quite a lot to do with Ms Kirwan.

ORLA
My name is Orla. And it's nothing to do with me.

FARRELL
Orla. You have been appointed the new
acting manager of McCoy's by my client.

ORLA AND CAROL ARE BOTH SHOCKED.

CAROL
What the hell are you talking about?
