Being caught getting frisky with your ex-wife was never going to end well for Louie but even he was shocked when Renée demanded €20,000 to stay quiet. Louie and Ingrid have been scrambling while Renée mercilessly applied the pressure, threatening to tell Carol of their affair at any time.

There was a shift however when Yvonne encouraged Louie to call Renée's bluff. Louie's refusal to pay made Renée desperate. She decided to tell Bob of Louie's affair with Ingrid and Bob grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Knowledge is power after all and Bob has wielded that power to humiliating effect.

The battle with Bob gives Louie renewed focus in his fight to keep his house of cards with Carol from falling. Yvonne proves to be an invaluable ally as she gets the dirt on Renée and gives Louie the chance to smugly throw Renée's threats back in her face.

LOUIE
Debt after debt.
FLINGING ANOTHER LETTER
After debt. I doubt you were as quick to tell
Bob your own secrets.

RENEE GLARES AT YVONNE.

RENEE
I see you haven't changed. You were
always a sly, deceitful witch.

YVONNE
Walking around like a mini tycoon. You're
as big a failure as you always were, only
with a lot more miles on the clock.

LOUIE FLINGS ANOTHER LETTER AT
HER.

RENEE
There is nothing in there that Bob doesn't
know.

ALL KNOW SHE IS BLUFFING.

RENEE
TRYING TO MAINTAIN IT
The price just doubled.

TO YVONNE
He can thank you. Now get out.

YVONNE
It's beautiful you have such an honest relationship with Bob.

LOUIE

YVONNE
