Things have been tense between Paul and Niamh recently as Paul's disillusionment with his career has put strain on their marriage. Determined not to resign himself to a miserable life in the garage, Paul has been trying to make a career change. Niamh however seems sceptical and seems to think he just needs to suck it up and get on with it.

Paul's behaviour has been somewhat erractic recently and after Niamh decided to surprise him in Cork, she was left puzzled when he wasn't where he said he would be. Niamh has struggled to figure out what exactly is going on and has started fearing the worst. Has Paul returned to his old adulterous tricks? Niamh has had enough and decides to confront him...

NIAMH

PAUL

NIAMH
I went down to Cork to surprise you.

PAUL, TAKEN ABACK.

NIAMH

PAUL
I can explain.

NIAMH
I don't know why I ever believed you. You
cheated on Nicola, you cheated on me, it's
what you do.

PAUL
Just listen to me.

NIAMH
You are pathetic. A middle aged man
walking out on his job and then having an
affair with some bimbo half his age. Take
your bags and get out. See how attractive
she finds you when she's living with you
twenty four seven.

PAUL
GRABS HER BY THE WRIST.
Come on.

NIAMH
WRESTLES FREE.
Let go of me.

PAUL
You want the truth. I'll show you.

PAUL, ANGRY.
NIAMH, WRONG-FOOTED.
