After Brendan Daly's flight from the law; Carrigstown has a new doctor, Dr. Judith Dillon.
A caring and dedicated doctor, she runs an efficient and calm practice. This unfortunately doesn't transpire to her home, being a mother of four, and commuting from Kilkenny to Carrigstown, chaos reigns in her personal life.
A fun and flirty woman; there is a lot more to her than meets the eye.
Judith Dillon is played by Catherine Byrne, a critically acclaimed stage actor.
Meanwhile in the community centre one of the regular volunteers is making her presence felt. Meet Esther Roche; part time volunteer, full time wannabe weight loss guru.
Not entirely selfless of her time, Esther sees her volunteer work as a platform to start her business from. Esther has a keen knack of getting under Jo's skin.
She is fundamentally a kind hearted lady, but with a penchant for gossip, not a soul to be confided in.
Esther Roche is played by Eileen Colgan, recognisable from Glenroe, Tara Road and Single Handed.
