Episode 9: Drinkoginiser
Q: Explain your Dragon's Den experience?
A: Dragon's Den is a great place and a fantastic opportunity to pitch your idea to guys with such high level of expertise.
Q: Who was the toughest Dragon?
A: Bobby and Niall were most tricky - they both have an expertise in the field of my business. I was sure I would get their offers. I was wrong... However, Sean fully understood my idea and his opinion was: "Helen, it is a great idea and fantastic business, but you need expertise more then money and in this case I don't know how I can help you, only by this reason I am out". His feedback has supported me and my optimism.
Q: Were you nervous?
A: I was very nervous during the weeks before Dragon's Den, when I was preparing my pitch. However, in the day of pitch I was fine.
Q: Were you surprised by some of the questions?
A: No. I was only surprised by new applications for my product suggested by Dragons.
Q: Who was most interested in your idea?
A: Sean provided good feedback about the idea, product design and my business.
Despite the opinion of other Dragons that it is not a good idea and nobody needs it, it was also great experience for me, that my product is useful and customers want it.
Q: Would you have done anything differently?
A: I have analyzed my experience in the Den and I think if I had a chance to repeat my pitch again I would do it same way.
Q: Would you recommend applying for Dragon's Den to any other budding entrepreneurs?
A: Definitely, it is fantastic experience. During preparation I've summarised my idea and created new partnership and hope to will have some publicity.
Q: What does this mean to you personally?
A: After Dragons Den I've a more optimistic look on my business and myself.
Q: In five year's time where do you see your product/company?
A: I had prepared the figure for the Dragons, that in the first year I am planning to do 55K, second year 613K and third year over the million. Now everything depends on my energy and creativity and I am targeted to realize this.
Q: What is your lasting memory of the Den?
A: I will always remember Sean's feedback: "Helen, it is a great idea and fantastic business!"
