Episode 7: Jennifer and Claire (Huggy Blooms)
A once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget. It was life changing, exhilarating, and a fantastic introduction into the business world.
Q: Who was the toughest Dragon?
A: We were so lucky as even though their questions were tough they were all lovely to us. They were warm and engaging even when we wouldn't disclose all the information about the company.
Q: Were you nervous?
A: We were nervous but also excited. We knew we had to put pure heart and soul into this as it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that we couldn't afford to mess up.
Q: How did you prepare?
A: We prepared day and night. From the first day we found that we were accepted we spent every day perfecting our pitch and strategy - even Christmas Day.
Q: Was it as you expected it to be?
A: Not at all. In our wildest dreams we never thought we would get an offer from the four dragons - how lucky are we?!
Q: Were you surprised by some of the questions?
A: Definitely. We had prepared lots of questions but not the questions they asked. You can never be too prepared for the Den.
Q: Who was most interested in your idea?
A: They were all interested even though Gavin didn't invest he gave us some great feedback.
Q: Would you do anything differently?
A: When I watched the show back I am sure we will cringe and wish we had said things differently but all in all we don't have any regrets.
Q: Has the experience changed your perception of business?
A: Yes. We realised only the toughest and best survive, so we are delighted to say we have the support of four of the top business people in Ireland.
Q: Would you recommend applying for dragon's Den to any other budding entrepreneurs?
A: Absolutely, it was the best business decision we ever made.
Q: What does this mean to you personally?
A: In a word, everything! We always believed in ourselves and now we have succeeded in the Den and have four more people who believe in us.
