Name: Kate Hyde
Idea: www.hen-party.ie
Investment: €30,000
Equity: 20%
Location: Waterford
Web: www.hen-party.ie

Product: Irelands first all encompassing hen party web-portal. There are over 26,000 weddings in Ireland each year, therefore approximately 26,000 hen parties. The aim of the website, is to address the notable absence of a platform harnessing the hundreds of thousands of Euro being spent on hen parties each year. The hen party industry is HUGE in this country with the service industry cashing in on it annually. But for some reason there wasn't a focal point for all this information before www.hen-party.ie - information that tens of thousands of women under the age of 40 were looking for. Hen Party acts as a portal for every element of a hen party. It provides women between the ages of 20 and 40 with all the information required; from the games and nice ideas to the hotels, the spas, the restaurants and the packages. Kate in turn generates revenue from 2 streams - firstly from selling advertising to hotels, restaurants, activity providers etc and secondly from an on-line store.
