About the Show
RTÉ's hugely successful Dragons' Den, is back for a sixth series. The show, presented by Richard Curran, will see entrepreneurs and inventors from around the country pitch investment ready ideas to five of Ireland's top business leaders. Bank of Ireland continues its sponsorship of the series.
Whether you are operating a successful business and want to take it to the next level, a small start-up operation with big dreams, or if you have a lucrative business idea but are looking for the ideal partner to take you in the right direction, then it's time to enter the Den.
This year Dragons' Den would like to encourage applications from those affiliated to or from Third Level Educational Institutions across the country which are bursting with new and innovative entrepreneurs, ideas and start ups.
In these tough times, Dragons' Den, sponsored by Bank of Ireland provides the opportunity for intrepid dreamers to prove their idea's worth. Now in its sixth series, close to 300 ideas and their creators have entered the Den, and taken the grilling with the hope of walking away with an investment. More than 70 were successful and secured over ¤3.3 million in funding in the Den.
This year's intrepid entrepreneurs will be facing a fiery new Dragon in the Den alongside Dragons Ramona Nicholas, Gavin Duffy, Barry O'Sullivan, and Peter Casey. The new dragon will be announced in the coming months and will be replacing Sean O'Sullivan who is stepping down as a Dragon due to work commitments.
Dragons' Den is produced by Screentime ShinAwil Productions Ltd and is filmed on location at Taylors Three Rock, Rathfarnham.
