Getting your stress levels and anxieties under control can be easier said than done. Acupuncture and reflexology have gained recognition for assisting many couples to conception. These therapies work on the energy systems of the body to create harmony and allow the body to heal itself. Since stress has been shown to interfere with getting pregnant yoga is also an effective way of improving your chances of conceiving. A slow paced yoga class can offer more time and space for slowing breath and calming the mind.

Get in shape!
A normal BMI makes it much easier to conceive. Being too fat or too thin works against you. Know your BMI it should be between 15 & 25.
Watch your diet.

Know your cycle.
You ovulate 14 days BEFORE your period. So if you have a 28 day cycle you ovulate on day 14. But if you have a 35 day cycle you will ovulate in day 21! Look out for the 'raw egg white' cervical mucus that goes with ovulation.
50% of fertility issues are male.
Some studies on male fertility have shown that local heat affects sperm production. So men trying for a baby should probably avoid heated car seats, excessive cycling, hot tubs & tight underwear.
Sperm lasts for several days so regular sex from 2-3 days before ovulation till a couple of days afterwards is a good start.
Don't Stress. It's counter-productive.
Couples with normal fertility can take up to a year to conceive & becoming over anxious about it can slow things down! Give yourself time and space to allow it to happen.
