The residents of Portarlington pull together and give a new lease of life to a nature walk

A huge thanks to all the children of Our Lady of Lourdes School in Ballinacurra Weston who took part in the art competition to decorate the walls of the local church in a Celtic theme for Dirty Old Towns?. Thanks to all the teachers who helped the young budding artists and to the seasoned artists who judged, and then helped the winners decorate the whitewashed walls with their very imaginative artwork.

Here is a real taste of people power at work. The Cashen Vale Boxing Club in Ballybunion worked tirelessly over recent weeks to totally transform their club in the local community centre. It was definitely gloves off as they went the full round to get the job done. So well done to Paddy Fitzmaurice and all the gang in Ballybunion. True champions!
