Dating from around 1500 Fort Meagher Camden is a magnificent military fortress situated on Ram's Head, near Crosshaven in Co Cork. The site is internationally recognised as one of the world's finest remaining examples of a classic coastal artillery fort. Dirty Old Towns visited Fort Camden in last year's series, and the scale of challenges facing the project have warranted a return visit for the new series to follow all the progress made on cleaning, restoring and developing the fort as a community and tourist resource. Could this fort have the potential to become one of Ireland's biggest tourist attractions?
