Cahersiveen is situated in one of the most picturesque parts of Ireland, on the Iveragh Peninsula in south-west Kerry, looking out over Valentia Harbour. The town is distinguished for having been the birthplace of Daniel 'The Liberator' O'Connell. Yet despite its heritage and location on one of Ireland's busiest tourist routes, the Ring of Kerry, Cahersiveen fails to attract its fair slice of the tourist pie and the tourist coaches drive through without stopping. How can the community turn the town's fortunes around and convince the tourists that it's worth stopping off and spending money in Cahersiveen?
