Like too many other rural Irish communities the small village of Ballynonty in Co Tipperary has experienced more than its fair share of tragedy due to road traffic accidents. In fact Ballynonty has become an accident blackspot. Since the 1960s there have been 24 road deaths along a notorious 4km stretch of road linking Ballynonty with neighbouring communities. In the last five years alone this road claimed the lives of six people from Ballynonty. Now the community wants Diarmuid to help them create a memorial garden to remember all the lives lost on it. The local schoolchildren will be on hand to help and to get some vital lessons about road safety as well.
