Programme 4 - Galway
The Desperate Houses team are back and this time they're revisiting the homes they helped to declutter, revamp and redecorate in previous series.
Will presenters Clodagh and Avril find that the people they helped have changed their old ways and made good on their promises to maintain their newly decluttered rooms or have they fallen back into old bad habits?
Programme four sees the return of Avril to our screens in the first of the revisits from the second series.
Avril heads back to Rahoon in Galway to surprise Mary Anne Mullen and her seven-year-old son Shane.
About three years ago, Mary Anne opened a charity shop in Galway to support an orphanage her mother is running in Kenya which provides a home to over 60 children who have been affected by AIDs.
Mary Anne's home in Galway had three bedrooms, her daughter Sarah's old bedroom was a store room full to the brim with black bags for the charity shop. Mary Anne and Shane's bedrooms were not much better.
Sarah and her husband Alan joined Avril and the crew to help de-clutter her mum's home in just three days.
Avril helped Mary Anne put some order back into her life. But that was over 12 months ago...what are the house and charity shop like nowadays? Avril goes back to find out!
