Angie Williams - Letterfrack, Co. Galway
Angie Williams, originally from Liverpool, has been living in Letterfrack for nearly thirty years. She lives in a two-storey artisan cottage with her children Florence and Daniel. Her mother was from the area and Angie has made the west of Ireland village her home.
Angie, an artist and wood-turner, grew up in a family of hoarders; her mother's philosophy was:
"If you keep something for seven years you'll find a use for it."
As a result Angie's own home is full of items that she hopes to reuse or refurbish but unfortunately most of the clutter has been languishing in her home for a lot longer than seven years.
There are wooden chairs hanging from her sitting room wall, an old cash register, several stained glass windows, lots of handbags and even an elephant-calling hat!
Angie needs to realise that she will never have the time to start or finish all the projects she has in mind and she calls in the Desperate Houses team because she really doesn't want her children to develop her bad habits.
With only three days and a limited budget of two thousand euro, Interior Designer Fiona Wilson and the Desperate Houses team undertake an ambitious design for Angie's sitting room. But as the work piles up and the clutter seems never ending will it turn out as planned?
