Richard has appeared on television many times, including stints of BBC2's 'Master Chef', BBC2's Saturday Kitchen, Channel 4's 'Jamie's Kitchen' and BBC's 'Full on Food'. He recently competed in BBC's 'The Great British Menu' and won both his telephone vote heats and cooked for the Queen at Mansion House. He has just signed a large book deal with Harper Collins which will be out next year.
Richard Corrigan opened Lindsay House in Soho, London, in autumn 1997 where his Celtic roots are evident in a menu of earthy and robust tastes and textures. The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in January 1999. Later, in March 2000, Richard was awarded "Outstanding London Chef" at the Carlton London Restaurant Awards. Since 2003 both Lindsay house and the English Garden were nominated for the Carlton Pepe British Restaurant of the Year award. In 2004 Richard Corrigan, together with Searcy's Ltd opened an exclusive restaurant and bar at the top of St. Mary's Axe, the striking Norman Foster-designed building known affectionately as The Gherkin. In 2005 Lindsay House has gained further recognition by the prestigious French restaurant Le Gaut Millat, who named the restaurant one of London's five finest restaurants. He has recently acquired Bentley's Oyster Bar and Grill, on Swallow Street, W1 which he reopened to critical acclaim in November. Richard has restored the building to its former glory, where the emphasis is on high quality, well-sourced and simply prepared ingredients.
