Programme 8: Let's Dance
Bon (Keith Sheekey), a 22 year old from Ballymun, is a self-taught champion hip-hop/breakdancer. He and his crew are on their way to Las Vegas for the world breakdancing championship. Bon shares his love for this demanding, exhilarating activity that requires him to be in tip-top shape to compete.
John Rownan, in his early 20's, is hooked on Tango. His world revolves around Tango dancing, Tango singing, listening to Tango music, teaching Tango classes and travelling to Argentina, the home of Tango, to dance the night away.
Phyllis and Joseph McCann, in their seventies, take part in ballroom dancing as many nights of the week as they possibly can. Phyllis has been dancing all her life, but Joseph didn't take it up until he was 50, and soon afterwards the couple danced their way through the American ballroom dance competition circuit, picking up medals along the way. 25 years later, as fit as anyone a quarter their age, they mesmerise us with their poise, elegance and style.
