Jamie Young
There's not many people you can describe as an adventurer but Jamie Young is certainly that. He's sailed to America in a yacht single-handedly, kayaked around South America's Cape Horn, recreated Shackleton's gruelling journey through South Georgia in Antarctica and kite-buggied across the South Pole. Just the man to assess and advise our celebrities on their journey through the wilds of Connemara.
Jamie originally hails from Cullybacky in Co Antrim and after spending some time in Scotland and England eventually settled in the West of Ireland. In 1980 Jamie and his wife Mary set up the Killary Adventure Centre there. Busy as this keeps him, however, he always keeps his eye out for the next adventure.
