Victoria Mary Clarke was once only known for being hellraising Pogues frontman Shane McGowan's partner but the release of the auto-biography Angels in Disguise - charting her tumultous life and love - changed all that. Now this talented journalist and novelist, who counts Bono and Kate Moss as friends, is a celebrity in her own right.
Victoria spent her childhood in West Cork with hippy parents and no running water or TV. Upon moving to London as a teenager she fell in with the Pogues and lived the ups and downs of a rock 'n' roll lifestyle. It was only after a split with Shane and several breakdowns that she reevaluated her life and first spoke to the angels that she now credits for her happiness today.
