Aidan Power and Anna Nolan host this regional reality TV show in aid of People in Need. Eight top-secret celebrities have been let loose in the wilds of Connemara, turning their backs on pampered lives for a week-long trek through the unforgiving landscapes of Connemara. In the process they hope to raise thousands of euro for RTÉ's People in Need Telethon as they go.

The reality show on the move will see each contestant negotiate taxing tasks while surviving everything Connemara can throw at them. They'll need stamina, iron will -- and most of all, each other -- to get through the challenges as our cameras roll 24/7 to capture every hissy fit, freak-out, failure and triumph.

Aidan Power presents the live shows from the celebrity camp, looking back at the trials of the day and getting expert advice from wilderness expert Jamie Young. "It's going to be fascinating to see how these carefully crafted celebrity personas will cope," says Aidan.

Anna Nolan is our link to base camp - she'll be gauging the mood, drying a tear or two and finding out who's out of their depth and who's diving in. "We'll have some wildly differing characters on the show," says Anna. "We'll be watching them as they learn more about themselves and each other on their individual journeys."

Over the seven days the public vote to send celebrities home until we are left with three finalists who will battle it out on the final aproach to Westport to be named The Wild Woman, or Wild Man, of the West.

Some will flourish, some will flounder, some will conquer and some will crack when Celebrities Go Wild.
